This cocktail, made of ginger ale and cherry juice, was a favorite drink of Shirley Temple, a young Hollywood star of the 30’s. Kids love bright colors and fizzy drinks. So, you can make the Shirley Temple cocktail at children’s parties without any doubt of its success.
You will need (for one portion):
— ginger ale — 60 ml / 2 oz
— cherry juice — 40 ml / 1.4 oz
— 1/3 of a lemon
— 2 cocktail berries
— 1 lemon slice
— highball glass
— ice tongs
— ice bucket
— cocktail spoon
Fill the glass with ice cubes.
Measure 40 ml / 1.4 oz of cherry juice with the jigger and pour into the glass.
Put 1/3 of a lemon into the squeezer and press to release juice.
Pour ginger ale into the glass until it is full.
Stir with the cocktail spoon.
Garnish with cocktail berries, a lemon slice and a cocktail straw.
