You will need:
— fresh tomatoes
— ground black pepper
— dried oregano
— extra virgin olive oil
Pour some boiling water on the tomatoes and keep them in the water for a few seconds.
Tip: You can use a can of crushed tomatoes instead of fresh tomatoes.
Step 3: Remove the skins from the tomatoes.
Finely chop the tomatoes and then beat them with a whisk.
Tip: Don’t use a blender for mixing. We don’t want our sauce to turn into mush — it should retain some texture.
Step 5: Add some salt.
Step 6: Season to taste with black pepper and dried oregano.
Step 7: Add some olive oil.
Blend everything with a spoon to a smooth consistency.
Tip: You may also cook the sauce for a few minutes on a low heat. But we don’t cook our sauce because it will cook with the pizza.
Step 9: The pizza sauce is done!
