Card with a window

Step 1: What you need:
1. Milky watercolor paper (with finely embossed texture).
2. Green and light lilac felt.
3. Light rose, rose and wine red felt.
4. Thin scarlet felt.
5. Metallized cardboard with golden embossment.
6. Imitation wood paper.
7. Wallpaper with a small floral pattern or brown paper for scrapbooking.
8. Hot glue gun for crafting.
9. Scissors.
10. Shaped scissors.
11. A ruler.
12. A pencil.
13. A cotton ribbon with flowers.
14. Beige silk ribbon 1/4” (0.5 cm) wide.
15. Pale green, beige, rose and scarlet buttons.
16. Double-sided tape.
17. Double-sided foam tape.

Step 2: Get a sheet of A5 watercolor paper. With the help of a ruler fold the paper crosswise in half.

Step 3: Cut a rectangle 4-1/8X6” (10.5X15 cm) from wallpaper and stick the tape to it.

Step 4: Adhere the rectangle to the base of the card.

Step 5: Cut a lilac rectangle 3X3-1/8” (7.5X8 cm) and stick the tape to it.

Step 6: Adhere the rectangle to the card.

Step 7: From the watercolor paper cut the rectangle 1-3/4X3-1/8” (4.5X8 cm) and two stripes 1/4X3-1/8” (0.5X8 cm).

Step 8: Stick the tape to the stripes.

Step 9: Cut off two stripes 8” (20 cm) of the silk ribbon. Glue the ribbons to the stripes leaving 3/4” (2 cm) from the edges.

Step 10: Adhere the stripes to the sides of the lilac rectangle.

Step 11: Draw the stripes on the rectangle: 3/8” (1 cm), 3/8” (1.1 cm), 1/2” (1.4 cm), 3/8” (1 cm).

Step 12: Fold the rectangle along these lines.

Step 13: On the far stripes stick the tape.

Step 14: Adhere one far stripe to the other.

Step 15: Adhere a window sill right under the lilac rectangle.

Step 16: Cut three flower pots from the wallpaper or paper for scrapbooking 1” (2-2.5 cm) in height.

Step 17: Stick the foam tape to the pots.

Step 18: Cut three green stripes: 1/8X2” (0,4X5 cm) and 5 leaves 1” (2-2.5 cm) long.

Step 19: Adhere the stems of the flowers to the pots.

Step 20: Adhere the pots above the window sill.

Step 21: Cut 3 light rose, rose and wine red felt flowers 1” (2-2.5 cm) in diameter.

Step 22: With the hot glue gun stick the buttons to the flowers.

Step 23: In the same way glue the flowers to the card.

Step 24: Stick the tape to the leaves.

Step 25: Adhere the leaves to the stems.

Step 26: Cut off two stripes 1/2X4-1/8” (1.3X10.5 cm) and 1X4-1/8” (2.2X10.5 cm) of the cotton ribbon.

Step 27: Stick the tape to the stripes.

Step 28: Adhere the stripes to the bottom and the top of the card.

Step 29: Cut from the scarlet felt two rectangles 3X4” (8X10 cm). Cut it using wavy scissors on two sides.

Step 30: On the upper part of the curtains make two folds and glue them with the hot glue gun.

Step 31: Glue the curtains above the window.

Step 32: From imitation wood paper cut a stripe 5/8X3-1/2” (1.5X9 cm) and two stripes 1/8X3-1/2” (0.3X9 cm) and 1/4X3-1/2” (0.6X9 cm) from the metallized cardboard.

Step 33: Stick the tape to the golden stripes.

Step 34: Adhere the golden stripes to the stripe from imitation wood paper.

Step 35: Stick foam tape to the upper part of the curtains.

Step 36: Adhere the curtains to the card.

Step 37: Open the curtains and tie them with bows. The card is finished!
