Card with a parrot
What you need:
1. Milky watercolor paper (with finely embossed texture).
2. Thick blue and brown paper.
3. Corrugated golden, red and blue cardboard.
4. Green velvety paper.
6. Shaped scissors.
7. A ruler.
8. A pencil.
9. Blue paper ribbon with glitters 1/4” (0.5 cm) wide.
10. Self-adhesive eyes 1/2” (1 cm) in diameter.
11. Double-sided tape.
12. Double-sided foam tape.
Get a sheet of A5 watercolor paper.
With the help of a ruler fold the paper crosswise in half.
Cut a rectangle 3Х5” (8X13) cm from the blue paper.
Stick narrow stripes of the tape to the sides of the card (less than 1/4 (0.5 cm) wide).
Stick the tape on the blue rectangle.
Adhere the rectangle to the base of the card.
Adhere the blue glittery ribbon to the sides of the card.
Cut two palm trunks 2” and 5” (5 and 12 cm) long and 1/4” (0.6 cm) wide from the brown paper.
Cut palm leaves 2” (4-5.5 cm) long from the green velvety paper. Make a lot of cuts on the leaves.
Stick the tape to the trunks and the leaves.
Adhere the trunks to the card.
Adhere the leaves to the card.
Cut the parrot’s body from the corrugated cardboard 1-1/4Х2-1/4” (3X5.5 cm) and three parts for the tail each 1-1/2” (4 cm) long.
Cut a wing from the red corrugated cardboard (1Х1-1/2”) (2.5X4 cm) and a beak (1-1/4”) (3 cm) long for the parrot.
Cut a circle 1-1/4” (3.3 cm) in diameter from the golden corrugated cardboard and a hood 1Х1” (2Х2 cm).
Stick the foam tape to these parts.
Adhere to the upper part of the palm the parrot’s body and adhere the tail.
Adhere the head and the hood.
Adhere the wing and the beak.
Step 21: Adhere the eye to the parrot. The card is finished!
