Let’s draw the basic shapes and lines, applying a gentle pressure on the pencil. We’ll start with a large oval, inclined to the left, and then draw a circle under it. Add a cross on the head to trace the proportions of the face. The cross is inclined to the left.
Connect the oval and the circle with the line of the chest: it goes from the middle of the oval’s bottom to the side contour of the circle. Add one more line for the legs.
Trace the hand with a small oval near the chest. Draw a line and an oval for the flower.
Now we start drawing the contours, pressing on the pencil normally. Outline the head first. Draw two half-ovals for the ears. And don’t forget that the head is inclined to the left, so the right ear appears to be higher than the left one.
Outline the body, following the basic shapes. The top part of the body is thinner and curves to the right. The bottom contour forms a small triangle that marks the legs. Draw a small round tail on the left.
Draw the hands and the feet. The right hand resembles a heart in shape. The left hand resembles a shamrock. The bottom contour of the feet curves inward in the middle. Notice that on the right the feet are as wide as the belly.
Now let’s mark the borders of the white areas on the belly and on the face. On the face the line curves inward in three places: the top curve is on the top part of the basic cross and the other two curves are in the middle of its right and left parts.
Mark the inside of the ears with small half-ovals and draw the bear’s face. The small eyes are very close to each other, and the right eye is winking — show it with a small zigzag. The large nose resembles a shamrock with a straight top.
Finally, let’s draw the flower. Its petals overlap each other. To draw a bent leaf make its top contour rounded and add a small triangle on the left. Erase all the basic shapes and lines before coloring.
Color the bear brown and white. Our flower is pink, but you may choose any color you like. The sun shines from the right, so we need to add some shading on the left side of the head and the body. The right hand also needs the shading. Trace over the contours again if they got blurred after coloring. The bear with a flower is complete!
