Insert the end of the strip into the slot of the tool (or bend it with your nails) and roll to the end of the strip. You may use a special slotted tool (as shown), or a slotted toothpick or simply your own fingers and nails.
Take the coil off the tool and let it turn loose. If you need a coil of a specific diameter, use a special circle sizer tool. If the coil doesn’t turn loose by itself expand the curls with a needle until the desirable size is achieved.
Fix the loose end to the coil with glue.
Squeeze the bottom part of the coil, pressing on the top part with a needle or with your nail. Squeeze the two halves of the top part to make them pointed.
